Living in the Chicago area often presents varying weather conditions from day to day. One day it is warm and sunny. The next day it is cold, windy and wet outside. This past Friday, we experienced an unexpected snow event. With nowhere to go, it was a beautiful gift of nature.     In the middle of my daily walk, I came across this snowman. While the perfectionist in me did notice the missing eye and the mismatched gloves, I asked myself how these critical thoughts were serving me? I started to envision children finding purpose and fun during this isolating time. In my head I could hear their voices as they went running around their house looking for items to dress their snowman. I could also hear their laughter as they put this snowman together.  It comes down to our own choice of how we want to view the world around us, even more so during this unprecedented time in our lives. I threw my initial view of the snowman aside and chose to see this snowman as an opportunity to remind myself that life is perfectly imperfect.
